February Art with Betsy Brown and Dominique Miller

Join us in welcoming mother and daughter, Betsy Brown and Dominique Miller. Betsy is a new resident of Whitefield, while Dominique resides in Waterville. This Show will feature a progression of art produced with a focus on the relationships of articles in nature, the universe, and the elements the bind them and how they reflect in each other. Most pieces have a strong use of watercolors and how they look and effect the properties of wood both as paper or in its raw unprocessed form as reclaimed wood or wood scraps. The colors show how water moves across and is absorbed by wood or paper. This movement over time exposes time, like how water colored by paint, flows into and around the grain of wood, which represents time in the growth of the living tree. There are some paintings from a collection of ‘Celestial Flowers’ where the artist tries to reflect the universe as blooming flowers. Some pieces are more traditional watercolors framed in non-traditional ways. All pieces will have nature/water/wood/fire/sky/air/earth represented.

Art Opening and Reception will be held Friday February 7th from 5-7pm, show will run until Saturday, February 29th.
