SHEEPSCOT GENERAL’s CSA
(Community Supported Agriculture)
CSA sign-up Open for 2024
The CSA has always been a key piece of who we are and what we do. We believe this partnership is much more than a simple financial obligation; it is a bond that reflects a social and economic philosophy built around good food in our cherished community.
A share costs $200, in return you receive a $220 credit. $200 is an amount we chose as a modest and accessible amount of produce for one person for a season. You may purchase multiple shares if desired. CSA members can use credit not only for fresh vegetables, but also for bread, milk, eggs, maple syrup, local fruit, mushrooms, seedlings, CBD hemp flower, and bulk specials throughout the season on items such as blueberries, cucumbers, beans, corn, tomatoes, storage crops, apples, and cider.
CSA members also get first access to our coveted organic pick-your-own strawberries fields. This is a very busy time of year for us, and a key part of our income. CSA members have $50 credit per share for strawberries ($25 for half shares). In other words, you are allowed to deduct $50 worth of strawberries from each share, anything over $50 will be charged separately.
Our debit-style CSA offers the convenience of shopping at our retail store with the benefits of buying produce through a CSA. We simply track your purchases and deduct the purchase amount from your balance.
You will receive regular correspondence that lets you know what is available.
Summer shares start when you pay for your CSA until December 24. There is no share balance carried over into the new year.
Winter shares are good from October through March 31.
We ask that you sign-up before April 15.
