Sheepscot General is a MOFGA-certified organic vegetable farm and modern country store with a bakery and cafe. We love our community and our customers: they have enthusiastic appreciation for our breads, our chocolate chip cookies, our bagels, our corned beef reuben, our pizza. The food we produce is made from the ground up, thoughtfully developed from the best recipes, and using seasonal ingredients from the farm.
Prep/Pizza Job Opening:
Is able to conduct a daily self-guided tour and restocking of deli and pizza coolers
Communicates with staff members about quality, quantities of stock
Pizza skills: dough tossing, topping, planning weekly specials, running the ovens
Pizza Night - we make pizzas any time the store is open, but Friday nights we have extended hours and a brisk business
Bulk deli prep: Use of slicer, robot coupe, knife skills
Understands bread doughs, forming breads, timing of rising and chilling doughs overnight
Able to lift 50 lbs
Understands and embodies the importance of a clean and organized kitchen
Keeps work areas clean; shares the kitchen and workspaces, sinks kept clear for others’ use

Able to observe and act on cleaning activities including daily upkeep and ongoing deep cleaning
Someone who has an understanding of food safety practices
