Miso Workshop w/ Goen Fermented Foods

Join Mika and Nicholas of "go-en fermented foods" for a hands on fermentation workshop and in depth discussion on the processes and history of miso, one of the ancient fermented foods of Japan. go-en fermented foods has been producing miso and koji based ferments right here in Whitefield for years and love to share about what they do and how they do it. In this workshop students will mix and mash 1 kg or about 2.24 lbs of fresh organic miso to take home and ferment in the comfort of their own homes. Be prepared to learn about microbes and their role in the environment, your food, and your gut. Come with your questions, open minds, open hearts, and open stomachs. Vegan and gluten free snacks will be made available.

Class fee $50, sign-up and $20 deposit required. Class must have at least 5 participants with a max of 10 people. Sign -up dealine is March 4th. Sign-up ONLY available by emailing penny@sheepscotgeneral.com
